What the Butterflies Know

In honor of Valentine’s Day, here’s a poem written for My Love.

Sometimes I wonder

What the butterflies know?

They flutter and flitter

But it's not just for show.

There is a secret

In their soft-winged dance,

That whispers of love

At every glance.

Sometimes I wonder

What the butterflies know?

They resist being soothed

And will never be slowed.

For every second

That your hand is in mine.

The butterflies dance

And their waltz is divine.

But now I don't wonder

What the butterflies knew.

Because their knowledge is mine

Now that I am with you.
